Each booklet contains 8 pages: the title page with 7 additional pages containing the following words and people associated with Black History Month: Abraham Lincoln, esclavos, Martin Luther King, Jr., diversidad, igualdad, libertad, and justicia. Also included is a page of suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page. Students first read and cut out the booklet that contains text and illustrations, then create their own version using the text only template. Students will enjoy sharing them with classmates and family members! The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review and practice pronunciation of the vocabulary words. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures on the Smart Board that correspond to the text.
Spanish Clothing, Months, and Weather Sketch Worksheet - Students must: 1. Complete 6 sentences with a Spanish clothing word. Each sentence includes a month, cuando plus a weather condition, and me gusta llevar. 2. Illustrate each sentence in a 6 square grid. Students rewrite the sentences in each square, as well. A sample of a completed 6 square grid is included. This activity is good oral practice when completed sketches are presented to the class and the sketches make colorful bulletin board or hall decorations.
Spanish Preterit AR Verbs 4 x 4 Matching Squares Puzzle - Students assemble a 4 x 4 Spanish/English vocabulary puzzle with 24 common AR verbs. Sample words are: bailar, cantar, cambiar, pasar, trabajar, and nadar. Several words are repeated which makes the puzzle more challenging. Just photocopy enough for a class set (1 for every 2 students if working in pairs, or 1 per student if working alone), cut and fasten with a paper clip. Distribute to students and challenge them to reassemble the puzzles as quickly as possible. There is a list of all words alongside the puzzle in Spanish and English. This can be used as a verbs bookmark and reference.
This Spanish numbers crossword contains: 1. English number word clues from zero to twenty. Students complete the crossword with the Spanish equivalent. 2. Instructions for students to write the Spanish number word next to each clue. 3. Nine number images for students to identify with a Spanish number word. The 3 tasks on the worksheet give students plenty of practice with their numbers.
Spanish Stem Change Verb Poder 10 Translations Worksheet - Students translate 10 sentences from English to Spanish using the stem change verb poder with common infinitives such as leer, tener, ir, escribir and adverbs of time such as hoy, esta tarde and este fin de semana. The conjugation of poder and a vocabulary box are included to assist students. The answer key is also included.
Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish - El Juramento - Students are so proud of themselves when they master this in Spanish! Use this in Spanish classes for pronunciation practice and also in dual language and immersion classrooms. Spanish Stem Change Verbs Pedir and Servir Translations and Conjugations - Students translate 10 English to Spanish sentences and complete 10 pedir and servir conjugations. Spanish food and meals vocabulary is included in the sentences. There is a word bank with the meals words and the answer key is included.
Spanish Subject Pronouns Reference and Practice provides all subject pronouns and explains their uses. Students complete a chart requiring them to determine the gender and whether each subject pronoun is formal or informal. They also translate 18 English subject pronouns. The answer key is included.
This is a fun, creative way for students to practice English clothing and travel accessories vocabulary. They enjoy the activity and have fun sharing their creations with their classmates. This download contains 2 versions of the suitcase. One has instructions to sketch and label a minimum of 10 clothing items and accessories that they will take with them on a trip. The other doesn't have any instructions to give more flexibility for its use.
Spanish Body Parts Song - El Hokey Pokey Song - Students practice 6 different body parts with this popular song with actions. The body parts included in the song are mano, pie, cabeza, brazo, pierna, and cuerpo. This is a great song for practicing the tu command form of the verb poner, and also for direct object pronouns lo and la. It works well with students of all ages when teaching body parts vocabulary, and it's perfect for a brain break any time!
This word search contains 30 Spanish false cognates and 8 images for students to identify. Students are instructed to: 1. Write the English translation next to each Spanish false cognate. 2. Find the Spanish words in the word search puzzle. 3. Write a Spanish word under each of the 8 images. Summer Picnic Basket Food Sketch and Label Activity - ENGLISH Students sketch and color a minimum of 10 foods that they will take with them on a picnic. They then write the corresponding words under the sketched items. This is a fun activity at the end of the school year as students are thinking about summer activities and vacation! Instructions for the activity are included on the worksheet.
Spanish Sports Matching Squares Puzzle - 25 Sports - Students assemble a 4 x 4 bilingual Spanish/English vocabulary puzzle with common sports. Just photocopy enough for a class set (1 for every 2 students if working in pairs, or 1 per student if working alone), cut and fasten with a paper clip. Distribute to students and challenge them to reassemble the puzzles as quickly as possible. All words are listed alongside the puzzle in Spanish and English. This list is helpful when students are assembling the puzzles, it can be used as a review list for partner or individual work, and it can also be used as a bookmark.

Students sketch a "selfie" in the cell phone and then write 5 corresponding sentences giving basic information and descriptions of themselves. There are 2 versions of the activity to allow for differentiation. One version gives sample sentence structure and students must add their own details such as hair and eye color. They other gives the requirements only. For example:

Each version includes the instructions for the activity.
